Bosman's Restaurant

Bosman's Restaurant was named as South Africa's top deluxe restaurant by the American Express/Style magazine for two years in succession.

In 1993 the German gourmet magazine VIF, awarded it 18 out of 20 points and in Feinschmecker it achieved 3 out of 4 points for Bosman's and 4 out of 5 points for the hotel in 1997.

Bosman's Restaurant was also rated among the Top 10 Restaurants of South Africa in the 1996 Perrier Restaurant Guide and in the Flying Springbok magazine, SAA's in-flight publication.

Bosman's Restaurant has received the official blazon from the highly respected worldwide association of gastronomes, the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs - a guild that was formed in France in the Middle Ages to promote all the arts - including the culinary arts. Bosman's was selected South Africa's best Chaîne Restaurant in 1996 by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

Bosman's at the Grande Roche was listed as one of the 'Editor's Top 10 Restaurants' by one of South Africa's leading food writers, Lannice Snyman in her book Eat Out in the 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 editions.

Bosman's Restaurant was the only South African restaurant to make the top 10 in the world listings featured in the New Straits Times, a Malaysian newspaper (16 February 2002). The list was compiled by Hannah Abisheganaden, director/principal of foodies 'n friends (website: www.foodiesnfriends.com.my ) in a 3-part series on the World's Best Restaurants.

The Business Day Restaurant of the Year Award 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2005 - for its outstanding cuisine in Bosman's Restaurant - endorses once again the standards for which Grande Roche has become famous. In 2004 it was first runner-up for this award. For the first time ever, the 2005 award was a tie - and Bosman's and La Colombe shared the top spot.
